mig33’s creative team is looking for a Webmaster who could join their growing team!
We are seeking an experienced web developer who can join our team to design and develop for our website and WAP site. You need to be a domain expert in CSS/XHTML, Javascript, AJAX, and Web 2.0 techniques. The web developer will be highly self-motivated, innovative, and well versed in new technologies. This position requires a detail-oriented, product-focused professional, experienced with building high performance systems in a high-paced, high-volume environment.
Reporting to Director of Content and Creative Factory, your responsibilities would be:
- Developing and implementing new web features and functions for desktop and mobile phone users, utilizing Javascript, AJAX, WAP, XHTML, PHP, and SOAP technologies
- Working closely with the designers, product development and backend engineers developing the web and WAP site plus other platforms involved (J2ME, AJAX etc.)
- Participate in web product design and specification
- Able to invigorate and execute projects that is web-related
- Maintaining and updating web content in terms of front-end development (access rights, setting up website navigation, content placement), tracking, technical maintenance, back-end processing, SEO, regulatory and other web requirements
- Protecting the product from out of harm’s way
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of web development experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge in web design, web GUI, mobile UI, and designer tools
- Experience in web management and IA
- Expert level command of CSS. Detailed understanding of JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, and AJAX-driven applications. WAP, XSL, and PHP knowledge strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, OO concepts (OO JavaScript), web standards, and UI design best practices.
- Knowledge in development and maintenance of CMS
- Strong sense of responsibility. Attention to details.
- Good grasp in time management and can handle fast-paced environment
- Well-versed in web transaction software, payment-processing software, and security software.
- Good knowledge of cross-browser development techniques and browser degradation strategies, updated knowledge of web and its power tools
- Experience with all stages of development process
- Working knowledge of SVN (or other source control) and Linux.
- Understanding of MySQL and Apache.
- Creative-thinker, tekkie-geek
- Ability to write documentation and reporting
- Logical yet creative
- Good communicator
