Network Administrator (Plaza Sentral, Kuala Lumpur)
mig33 is looking for a Network Administrator to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. We develop and maintain the largest mobile-first social network in the world; the mig33 mobile application is running on over 2,000 mobile handset models worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the IT Ops Manager
- Assist with training for 1st level staff and cross skilling of peers regarding network technology and support processes
- Regular reviews of network systems / performance and security
- Manage and resolve network incidents, escalating to engineering teams as required
- Ensure Network monitoring / performance reporting systems are configured as required
- Develop documentation / processes as required
- Tech lead for 2nd level networking issues
- Work with the Engineering teams as required to manage network changes
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in IT with a focus on network technologies
- CCNA/CCNP is a plus.
- Technical competence in TCP routed and switched networks design and administration (at least 2 years experience)
- Experience with VPN technologies and configuration
- Technical competence with Linux (Redhat / Centos)
- Experience with open source monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, etc)
- Good communication / documentation skills
- Available to be on call in a 24 X 7 environment
