mig33 is looking for wickedly brilliant software engineers to join our team in Singapore. We develop and maintain the largest mobile-first social network in the world; the mig33 mobile application is running on over 2,000 mobile handset models worldwide.

We’re looking for people who enjoy problem solving, have no fear of complex, dynamic systems, who can create tools and develop quality software, as well as communicate effectively with both techies and non-techies alike. We love Open Source Software, and our in-house systems are usually written in Java, PHP, Ruby, or Python. Our team is made up of engineers who have been involved in large scale software development for years.

We are looking for a range of skill levels, from intermediate to very senior – we can challenge absolutely anyone. Responsibilities:

• Develop good quality software server, web, or mobile systems – including considerations for testability, scalability, reliability, internationalization, support and operations requirements
• Have fun working in collaboration with a cross-functional team of product managers, user experience designers, engineers, and QA
• Recommend best practices and improvements to existing systems and processes
• Write good documentation

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Expert knowledge in one of the following: PHP, Java, J2ME, Android
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
• Working knowledge of version control systems
• Knowledge in the following areas desired: networking, databases, distributed systems, iPhone/Android/Blackberry development, test automation
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Proficiency with cross platform development
• Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment on really interesting problems
• A good sense of humor

Bonus:

• Large-scale system administration, SQL/DBA, Web development, and Network engineering experience
• Toolsmithing and systems programming/debugging
• Experience in mig33 is a plus
